When it comes to eating healthy, a lot of my clients and others avoid the process, simply because they don’t know how, or it just costs too much. I’m here to tell you, YES YOU CAN! Ladies, you can feed your family or even yourself on a Shoestring Budget & here’s how! 🍆🍅🍠💸💸
Buy Frozen foods instead of fresh produce. Fresh produce can be expensive, especially if it’s not in season. Frozen fruits and vegetables grown specifically to be frozen are usually picked at the point they have their highest level of vitamins and minerals and frozen immediately, which preserves all the goodness.
Choose nutrient-dense canned products, often on sale or priced inexpensively. You can purchase canned kidney beans, pinto beans, and chickpeas. Whole grains, such as brown rice, whole-wheat pasta and whole-grain bread, are also cheap, fiber-rich and higher in protein than white grains.
Step 3: Plan your meals in advance. This means you’ll create a shopping list and stick to it, so you won’t make any impulse buys, which put extra strain on your wallet. Stick to in-season foods, look out for sale items and buy in bulk. If there’s an offer on meat or fish, stock up and keep it in the freezer until you need it. — at So7 Health W/ Toye.
